The very interesting 7 x 9-1/2 inch, 176-page, well illustrated hardcover book in very good condition was published in 1940 by order of the High Command of the German Army (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht) by Zeitgeschichte Verlag in Berlin. The book, which also contains several fold-out maps in the back, gives back in great detail the campaign against Poland which lasted from 1 September 1939 to 6 October 1939 and ended with Poland total defeat. In a secret treaty between Nazi Germany and Russia, Poland was divided up between the two countries and the German part then became the ‘Generalgouvernement’.
