ORIGINAL 1939 CITY OF THE REICH PARTY DAYS ZOO 14×17 INCH MAP

17 1/2 × 14 1/2 inch, original zoo map from 1939. Has been used and has tape on back for support.  Would look great framed and displayed.  Something you don’t see everyday from Nürnberg, city of the Reich Party Days.

The Nuremberg zoo was founded in 1912. After the Nazis seized power, the zoo had to give way for the Reich Party Day grounds and was closed in February 1939.  In May 1939, the new zoo was opened in the Reichswald at the Schmausenbuck. It was almost completely destroyed after World War II and rebuilt at the end of the 1950s. The map that is offered for sale as probably sold when the zoo reopened at the new location in 1939.
