ORIGINAL 1937 THIRD REICH PHOTO BOOK ABOUT THE OBERSALZBERG

Current bid: $35.95

ORIGINAL 1937 THIRD REICH PHOTO BOOK ABOUT ADOLF HITLER’S MOUNTAIN RESIDENCE

THE BERGHOF ON THE OBERSALZBERG

GREAT PHOTO MATERIAL

The book was written by Florentine Hamm and Inge Mantler and published in 1937 by Zentralverlag der NSDAP, Franz Eher Nachf. in Munich, Germany (Central Publishing House of the Nazi Party). The size of this sought after hardcover book is 6-3/4 x 9-1/2 inch, it contains 114 pages with fifty excellent full page black & white photos about Adolf Hitlers mountain residence, the BERGHOF, the surrounding nature, early comrades of Hitler and Dietrich Eckart, one of Hitlers closest friends from the very early days, Dietrich Eckart’s grave, the Nazi Guesthouse, etc….! The book is also the report of a group of young BDM – girls who visited the Obersalzberg because they were curious to see Adolf Hitler’s Reichschancellery in the Alps, the Berghof and, of course, to see their Führer. It must have been one of the highlights in the lives of these young girls when they finally met the Führer at the gate of the guardhouse and every one of them received a photo postcard with his original autograph (which is worth a small fortune today).
