Offered for sale is issue #24/1936 of the anti-Semitic periodical
‘DER STÜRMER’ (The Attacker)
This periodical was the most anti-Semitic weekly Third Reich publication. It was published by Julius Streicher’s Stürmer publishing house in Nuremberg. There are many anti-Jewish articles in each issue, dealing about Jews and what they did to non-Jews, and there are of course crude anti-Jewish Fips cartoons! Fips was the cartoonist of Julius Streicher’s Stürmer publishing house and in his drawings, he presented the Jew in an unpleasant way like nobody else. The periodical has been stored flat for all these years. For a newspaper that is nearly 90 years old and which has survived a world war, it is in amazingly nice condition and has only a few flaws along the edges but is complete and will make an important addition to every collection of Third Reich material. Original copies of the most anti-Semitic periodical of the Third Reich period are hard to find. Offered here is issue #24, published in June of 1936. Starting in April of 1936, each issue had a full page of anti-Jewish ‘Fips’ cartoons, named ‘Fips Zeitspiegel’.
