This is an original heavy iron enameled vaulted sign, dating from late 1936 to 1945. This is a very robust well-made sturdy sign that was mounted on a public phone booth in Hitler-Germany. Two of the pictures are period photographs, one showing a similar sign mounted on a public phone booth, the other photo depicts a similar sign but like a large sticker affixed to the glass. Below that another sign that says that Jews are not allowed to use the public phone. The overall condition is nice with expected areas of surface rust, staining and scuffing from years of exposure to the elements. The plaque measures 335 x 335mm or 13-3/4 x 13/3/4 inches.
