Offered for sale is this 9 x 10-3/4 inch, 128-page hardcover photo book by Max Burchartz, published in 1933 by Deutsche Hausbücherei in Hamburg. There was only one edition of this book. The book is a photo documentation of the German Navy, its ships and sailors, the in 1933 still called ‘Reichsmarine’. It then changed to ‘Kriegsmarine’. The book is a very interesting account not only of the then still tiny German Navy but also about life and the tasks aboard. Very nice condition.
