The 5-1/4 x 6-3/4 inch, 206-page hardcover book by SS man Henrik Herse was published in 1942 by the SS owned Nordland Verlag. It contains short novels for children, some of them are of course patriotic (as you can expect from an author who is member of the SS). There are nice illustrations throughout the entire book, several in full color and some containing Germanic runic symbols. This book is an interesting piece of National Socialist propaganda that demanded many Aryan children for Führer and Vaterland, and what could promote these beliefs better than an Aryan SS man with six blond and blue-eyed children…!
