If somebody applied for an official position or wanted to become an officer in the Wehrmacht, Navy or Luftwaffe it was mandatory to prove a pure Aryan blood line. Applicants for the SS and Waffen-SS of course had to do it, too. Also, if you wanted to become a member of the NSDAP you had to prove your Aryan ancestry. The “Ahnentafel” (ancestors’ chart) is an official large fold-out document. All entries in these documents had to be notarized either from the church registrar or the municipal office. An important addition for anyone’s collection of Third Reich Racial studies material and/or collection of National Socialist documents.
