A huge, rare and sought after original Third Reich poster as they were plastered on walls and ‘Litfass-Säulen (large, cylindrical announcement boards that were all over Germany), coming from the estate of an NSDAP Ortsgruppen Propaganda Leader of the name Adolf Kautz from the Karlsruhe area. Kautz’ name is also written on the back. Measures approximately 47 inches by 33-1/2 inches or 1200 x 850mm. The poster depicts the KdF cruise ships ‘Robert Ley’ and ‘Wilhelm Gustloff’ (sunk in January of 1945 in the Baltic Sea by a Russian U-Boat with 10,000 Germans on board who tried to flee from the Red Army). The text says that these cruise ships are owned by the German workers and that this is thanks to the National Socialism and Adolf Hitler. Very few of such original large size posters have survived because they were either glued on a wall someplace or destroyed during or after the war.  We have never seen another original of this large size offered for sale anywhere. Will look great when framed.
