This 9 x 9-3/4 inch hardcover book was published in 1943 by the Wilhelm Frick publishing house in Vienna (Wien). It is one of the finest original Third Reich books on Nazi war art. There are 155 pictures total, every picture on a single page with title and name of the artist. All branches of the German Forces are shown, Knight’s Cross Holders of the Leibstandarte-SS Adolf Hitler (LSSAH), Luftwaffe, Afrikakorps and paratrooper aces, Panzer and U-Boat heroes and famous commanders such as the “desert fox” Erwin Rommel, war impressions from the Blitzkrieg in Poland, the war in the West and battles in Russia, life in the bunker and foxhole and much more.

Because of the war, the paper used to print books from 1943 on was of lower quality than the pre-war or early war publications. The condition of this copy is good with no lose or missing pages, some wear and only with the usual yellowing of the paper.
