Offered for sale is this rare original 1943 document, sent within Auschwitz concentration camp, signed by SS-Hauptsturmführer Dr. Eduard Wirths. Dr. Wirths was Chief SS doctor (SS-Standortarzt) at Auschwitz from Sep 1942 to Jan 1945, formally responsible for everything the twenty SS physicians did at Auschwitz, including Mengele. Wirths was involved in ordering medical experimentation, particularly in gynecological and typhus-related experimental tests. This letter deals about an examination of the ground water in Auschwitz and its usefulness as drinking water.
