This 8-1/2 x 10-1/2 inch, 192 page hardcover book was published in 1938 by order of the I.G. Farbenindustrie company on occasion of their 75th company anniversary and given to their employees. This book was not for public sale. The book was printed by F. Bruckmann Verlag in Munich. The copy that is offered here is in very nice condition. The IG Farben was a company with 125,000 employees in 1938 and manufactured world famous products like Agfa color and black & white film, film cameras, Bayer medicine like Aspirin, synthetic Buna rubber, cellophane and Leuna gasoline, to name just a few. The I.G. Farben company was Adolf Hitler’s pride as it demonstrated the success and power of the new Germany under the National Socialists.
The I.G. Farbenindustrie became the most infamous Third Reich company worldwide because of their huge production plants in the concentration camps Auschwitz and Birkenau where they took advantage of unlimited numbers of slave labor.
