This 5-1/2 x 7-1/4 inch, 208-page hardcover book in very good condition by Dr. Eugen Tannenbaum was published in 1936 by Philo Verlag in Berlin. It is interesting that the book was written by a Jew and is entirely pro-Jewish but was still allowed to be published in Nazi Germany. Dr. Joseph Goebbels controlled the press, movies and everything that was published in Germany and the question is why did he allow this book to be published in 1936? An explanation could be that Germany tried to show the world how liberal the Nazis are towards the Jews during the 1936 Olympic Games that were held in Berlin; and temporary lifted some of the sanctions against Jews. A fascinating question. The book contains Jewish sayings and is not antisemitic.
