‘DIE STRASSE’

PUBLISHED BY THE GENERALINSPEKTOR FÜR DAS DEUTSCHE STRASSENWESEN FRITZ TODT

The 9-1/2 x 11-1/2 inch periodicals were published by Dr. Fritz Todt who was put in charge of the construction of the Reichsautobahn network by Hitler, printed by Volk und Reich Verlag in Berlin. Even though the periodical was about road construction in general, a major subject is the construction of Hitler’s Motorways – the Reichsautobahn. There are many photos of the Autobahn under construction in all parts of Germany, finished sections and their great openings are featured, a lot of great advertising and a ton of information on everything that has to do with motorized travel in Nazi Germany. Issue #12 / 1935 of this rare biweekly publication in excellent condition, no missing or damaged pages and the binding is tight. A great source of information for anyone interested in original material about the Reichsautobahn.
