FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE FOR AUTHENTICITY

Offered for sale is this original award document, signed by Friedrich Paulus on 6 January 1943, three weeks before his promotion to Field Marshal and three weeks before he surrendered the remains of the 6. Armee to the Russians. The document is an award document for Hauptmann Otto Westphal who received the Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 1. Klasse (Clasp to the Iron Cross First Class). Anything signed by Paulus from the time when the Battle of Stalingrad took place and the 6th Army was already encircled is extremely rare. The 6th Army was encircled by the Russian Red Army on 22 November 1942 and the closer to the capitulation a document was signed by Paulus, the more valuable it is since it had to get out through the Russian lines somehow.
