Offered for sale is this original award document, signed by Friedrich Paulus on 8 January 1943, three weeks before his promotion to Field Marshal and three weeks before he surrendered the remains of the 6. Armee to the Russians. The document is an award document for Oberleutnant Siegfried Köhler who received the Iron Cross First Class. Anything signed by Paulus from the time when the Battle of Stalingrad took place and the 6th Army was already encircled is extremely rare.
