ORIGINAL ADOLF HITLER PAINTING

A Scene at Landsberg

Adolf Hitler. "A Scene at Landsberg." A postcard size rendering in pencil, ink and silver ink of the prison that Hitler spent nearly a year in, after the "Beer Hall Putsch" trial which made him a national political figure. The famous scene of Hitler's creation of Mein Kampf, the silver ink was provided by Max Amann who frequented Hitler regularly and was known to bring him art supplies. Amann was an especially important contributor to the book's creation and publication which is now legendary. The detail of the composition and its small perfection show Hitler at his best as an architectural artist. The exuberance of the image illustrates Hitler's view of Landsberg not as an end, but as a beginning. Mounted on period art board by Hess, the image measures apprx 3.5" x 5.5." Signed lower left.  From the collection of Rudolf Hess through his wife, Ilse. With documentation of provenance.

$7,950.00 including domestic shipping with USPS. Shipping with other carriers optional at additional cost.
