This wonderful 8-1/4 x 11 inch, 325-pages, very heavily illustrated hard cover book by SA Sturmhauptführer Karl W.H. Koch was published 1936 by Herbert Stubenrauch Verlagsbuchhandlung in Berlin. Männer im Braunhemd is the revised second edition of Das Ehrenbuch der S.A.
on the history of the Sturmabteilungen (SA or Stormtroopers or Brownshirts). The book is divided into 20 chapters on the origins of the SA, how the SA grew in number of members, street battles against the Communists, the Red Berlin, life in the SA, reports from the time when the SA was declared illegal in Germany, the great victory in 1933 and more, everything heavily illustrated with many excellent photos. A great addition for every collection of historic Third Reich material and a great reference for anyone with an interest in the history of Hitlers Brownshirts! The back is faded out some but that is the only imperfection of this great and hard to find book!
