Offered for sale is a RARE ORIGINAL 1945 PHOTO DOCUMENTATION FROM THE CAMPS WHEN THEY WERE LIBERATED NAZI HEL SS. VERY GRAPHIC PICTURES, TAKEN MOSTLY IN BERGEN-BELSEN
The 9-1/2 x 7-1/4 inch, 36 page photo book was published in Dutch language right after the collapse of the Third Reich in 1945 and shows unfiltered how the Holocaust looked like as well as pictures of the guards (male and female). Most of the photos were taken right after the liberation of Bergen Belsen concentration camp and some pictures in Buchenwald, Mauthausen, Fallingborstel and Nordhausen. Of course the Nazis never published anything like that for the public – only for example for Heinrich Himmler to see how his orders were followed in the camps – and this is one of the earliest accounts of the Holocaust. The US Army did publish a soft cover book on Dachau, also in 1945 but this book is even more graphic – and, even though an early postwar publication, rare. The book was published in 1945 by Van Holkema & Warendorf in Amsterdam, Holland.
