RARE ORIGINAL 1938 STEREOSCOPY BOOK ANNEXATION OF AUSTRIA

This 8-1/2 X 12 inch hard cover book was published in 1938, right after Austria became part of Hitler-Germany. The book contains 100 photographs in stereoscopy, taken by Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann, Adolf Hitler’s personal photographer and ‘Reichsbildberichterstatter der NSDAP’. The book comes with the original, collapsible viewer which, if you look through it at the photos, it makes the photos appear three-dimensional! The pictures and the viewer are stored in compartments inside the front and back covers. This makes the covers quite thick and accordingly heavy and therefore many of the few stereoscopy books that survived are damaged. Not so this copy, it is in very nice condition with only some scuffing on the covers and normal slight yellowing of the pages. A great asset to anyone’s collection of rare original historical Third Reich literature and artifacts.
