This hard to find 9 x 12 inch hardcover book with 380 heavily illustrated pages is one of the finest original Third Reich books on the so called “Kampfjahre” (Battle Years) and the Nazi seizure of power in 1933! It was written by Max Krebs and published in 1934 by the Völkischer Verlag in Dresden. The book is dedicated to Adolf Hitler and his brown battalions. A great book in very good condition.
There are hundreds of photos and artful drawings in this outstanding piece of Nazi literature! There are several artful full page drawings of Nazi leaders in this book such as Hess, Himmler, Goebbels, Göring, Frick, Ritter von Epp and others. There also is a very interesting anti-Semitic chapter in this book, too. There are photos of the Jewish Police chiefs of Berlin (their careers of course where over once Hitler came to power in 1933) and an anti-Jewish poem with the title “If all humans were Jews…”. The poem says that no work would get done and the world would end up in chaos if all humans were Jews! It concludes: “Thank God that there are other humans on earth, too!” A long and heavily illustrated chapter deals about the misery and hopeless situation in Germany after the end of World War One with millions of unemployed workers, hunger, inflation… This book will make an important addition to anyones collection of historical Third Reich material!
