RARE 1942 ANTI-JEWISH THIRD REICH BOOK ON THE SCHULCHAN ARUCH
Current bid: $5.95
VERY RARE ORIGINAL 1942 ANTI-JEWISH THIRD REICH BOOK
DAS BUCH VOM SCHULCHAN ARUCH
THIS BOOK EXCORIATES THE JEWISH RELIGION LIKE FEW OTHER BOOKS
This seldom seen 6-1/4 x 9 inch, 186-page hardcover book was written by Dr. Erich Bischoff and published in 1942 by Hammer Verlag of Theodor Fritsch in Leipzig. Fritsch was one of the top Jew haters in Nazi Germany besides Julius Streicher. The book is in very good condition, no foxing or stain spots on any of the pages, no damage to the spine and the binding is tight.
The original Schulchan Aruch was written by the Rabbi Josef Karo (1488-1575), it is one of the most important Jewish books besides the Talmud, containing Jewish laws and religious rules and rituals. The author of this extremely anti-Semitic book picked examples from this book, translated them and gives (anti-Jewish) comments to each example. One chapter describes the Jewish religious duties every Jew has to fulfill every day, on one page it even describes that a Jew is in no case allowed to point his/her rear end towards Jerusalem in case he/she needs to relieve nature! Another section explains that a non-Jewish woman is by no means allowed to help a Jewish woman to give birth to her baby and it is also strictly forbidden for a non-Jewish woman to breastfeed a Jewish baby, no matter if other help is around or not! (This “translation” of the Schulchan Aruch would also fit in the National Socialist ideology as an Aryan German woman was not supposed to breastfeed a Jewish baby either!)
A must have for anyone interested in Third Reich anti-Semitism!
