RARE 1941 ANTISEMITIC THIRD REICH PHOTO BOOK ‘LEBENSRAUM’ IN THE EAST

The 8-1/4 x 9 inch, 220-page hardcover photo book in good condition was published in 1941 by order of Gauleiter Fritz Wächtler and printed by Deutscher Volksverlag in Munich. The heavily illustrated book is on the ‘colonization’ of the territories that Germany conquered in the east by either killing or displacing the people who lived there or enslaving them. This was the materialization of Hitler’s demand for ‘Lebensraum’ or ‘Living Space’ for the German people. The book also leaves no doubt that the Jewish population was not only regarded as an inferior race, but the author calls them parasites that have to be rooted out or rounded up and put into ghettos like Litzmannstadt in Poland (then Generalgouvernement).
