THIRD REICH PORTFOLIO BY PROF. HEINRICH HOFFMANN WITH REPRODUCTIONS OF ADOLF HITLER WATERCOLORS
“ADOLF HITLER AQUARELLE”
COMPLETE SETS LIKE THIS ONE ARE VERY HARD TO FIND
This rare original set of reproductions of seven full-color Adolf Hitler watercolors was published in 1935 by Nazi Reichsbildberichterstatter Heinrich Hoffmann. The size of the portfolio is 9 x 12-1/2 inch. It includes seven Adolf Hitler paintings with Western Front battlefield scenes, painted between 1914 and 1917 during World War One. The paintings are printed in full color on high quality art paper, each one protected by a sheet of parchment paper on which the title and year of the painting are printed. The seven mounted prints are stored in a heavy portfolio with four flaps. The front cover bears the title ADOLF HITLER / AQUARELLE (Adolf Hitler Watercolors). The prints came with an index page and an introduction by Reich Youth Leader Baldur von Schirach which got lost to time. Complete original Heinrich Hoffmann sets of Adolf Hitler watercolors are very hard to find. The seven prints in this set are originals in very good condition. The folio or folder is also original and has some damage at the spine but did what it was supposed to do over all these years, protecting the content.
