A rare and sought after original Third Reich poster. 475 x 315mm or 19 x 12-1/2 inches, dated 1941 and from the Generalgouvernement, the German occupied part of Poland. It is an announcement of the German Attorney General for occupied Poland that five Polish convicts from the town Leslau who tried to escape from prison and who committed violent acts against German prison guards as well as against two civilian German women were sentenced to death on 12 August 1941. One day later all five were executed.
A rare original historical piece in nice condition. Very few of such original posters have survived because they were either glued on a wall someplace or destroyed during or after the war.
