ORIGINAL FULLY FUNCTIONAL THIRD REICH LUFTWAFFE TYPEWRITER

MADE BY THE GERMAN WEAPONS MAKER RHEINMETALL-BORSIG

Offered for sale is this very nice and fully functional Third Reich typewriter, made by the well-known German weapons manufacturer Rheinmetall-Borsig and issued to the Nazi Luftwaffe. This typewriter does not have the so called ‘Sondertaste’ (special key with the SS runes) but instead a riveted on Luftwaffe inventory aluminum plaque. In all the years this is the first one we are offering. The typewriter comes with its original, lightweight but sturdy transportation box. The box is in nice condition, only the striker plate of the locking mechanism broke off but is enclosed and can be easily repaired. This was Luftwaffe inventory #2117 and might have been used on a forward airfield or some LW command.
