The 8-1/2 x 7-3/46 inch, 48 page hardcover book in very nice condition with original dust jacket by Ursel Schlicht and illustrations by Inge Steuer was published around 1943 by Junge Generation Verlag in Berlin. The book contains short stories with the experiences the young female Labor Service girls (maiden) made when performing their ‘Pflichtjahr’ (mandatory labor service) helping out on farms and their interactions with children.
