Erna Lendvai-Dircksen was a well-known photographer in Third Reich Germany who mainly focused on portraits of Germanic, Nordic ‘Aryan’ faces. She traveled throughout the entire German Reich, as well as to Nordic countries such as Norway and published her photographs in 7-1/2 x 10-1/4 inch, approx. 120 page, hardcover books like the one that is offered here. This book contains 78 photographs of Nordic people from the Tirol region, which is in the southern part of Germany. The book was published in 1942 by Gauverlag Bayreuth and is in nice condition. This is a copy of the second edition, of which 10,000 copies were printed.
