‘Frauen helfen siegen – Bilddokumente vom Kriegseinsatz unserer Frauen und Mütter‘ (Women helping to win – Photo Documentation of the War Effort of Our Women and Mothers) was published in 1941 by Zeitgeschichte Verlag in Berlin. The 7-5/8 x 10-1/2 inch, 96 page soft cover book in good condition shows German women during World War II in a variety of occupations that were traditionally jobs for men, such as delivering mail to running transit systems while the German men were away as soldiers at the front lines. The heavily illustrated book shows women as telephonists (The so called Blitzmädel), bus conductors, train drivers, engineers, plane spotters, harvesting crops and cleaning chimneys, but also as nurses caring for wounded soldiers, entertaining soldiers, etc. The last page has a photo of famous test pilot Hanna Reitsch wearing her Iron Cross 2nd Class.
