The 6-3/4 x 9-1/2 inch, 82 page hardcover book was published in 1940 by Erich Klinghammer Verlag in Berlin as a remembrance for the young women who fulfilled their mandatory labor service in the northern region of Hitler-Germany, the Nordmark. It is a very interesting photo documentation of the mandatory labor service that every BDM girl had to fulfill. It was called ‘Landjahr’ or also ‘Pflichtjahr’ and the young women mostly helped out on German farms.
