Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann was the Photoberichterstatter der Reichsleitung der NSDAP – (official photographer of the NSDAP Reich Leadership) and in this position also Adolf Hitlers personal photographer. It is said that he took about two million(!) photos of the Führer. Some of the best photos he used in a series of books on Adolf Hitler that he had published shortly before and during the Third Reich. They are all 7 x 10 inch books, usually contain around 100 pages and are all heavily illustrated. It is lesser known that Hoffmann also published a number of books that were Nazi Party related but not specific on Adolf Hitler. One of them is this photo book on Dr. Robert Ley, published 1940 by Heinrich Hoffmann Verlag in Munich. Some call Dr. Ley a drunk while others consider him one of the most talented and capable officials of the Third Reich. He was the head of the German Labor Front and Reichsorganisationleiter der NSDAP who, in this position was publisher of the Organisationsbuch der NSDAP. This excellent photo book documents stages of his work and of course his close relationship to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party. A great addition for every collection of historical Third Reich material and a must-have for everyone who collects Prof. Heinrich Hoffmann books. SOme spots on the cover, otherwise nice condition.
