Adolf Hitler’s autobiography and political manifest, ‘Mein Kampf’ (My Struggle in English), first published in 1939 by Reynal & Hitchcock in New York. Offered here is the second edition, published in 1940. It is coming with its original dust jacket which is in pieces, the book itself is in overall nice condition. The profits of the first American edition went to refugee children. The book was sponsored by a committee of famous individuals, such as Albert Einstein, Thomas Mann, Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. A hard-to-find book, published at the start of World War II and intended to be distributed to the public so they could understand the American enemy. With a full-page map of Europe with Nazi Germany highlighted.
