ORIGINAL AUSCHWITZ AND OTHER CONCENTRATION CAMPS LETTERS

A lot of letters from an Auschwitz inmate (Ladislaus SVIRK, born 1892 in Glink) with the Auschwitz number 21121, liberated in Buchenwald in 1945. Prisoner number 16781 in Buchenwald. Two of the letters bear the censorship stamp of the Auschwitz post office. Some of the letters are written in German language and mostly deal with private life and the current circumstances (imprisonment in the camp). Svirk was a Czech political prisoner (T on a red square). Also included is a 1948 panoramic postcard depicting Auschwitz, issued by the camp museum.
