Offered for sale is the complete series of all 1940 to 1945 issues of the
GERMAN WWII HERO NOVELS FOR THE GERMAN YOUTH
‘KRIEGSBÜCHEREI DER DEUTSCHEN JUGEND’
The Kriegsbücherei der deutschen Jugend was a series of 156 of booklets that were aimed especially at the youth. They were published from 1940 to 1945, in the beginning as a weekly publication but as the war progressed the intervals varied. Each issue has 32 pages with some illustrations and each issue deals about one military event, campaign or other German heroic military act. The series deals only about World War Two events in Europe and in North Africa and only one issue (#151) deals about the Waffen-SS in the battle of Leningrad, Russia and #153 has a Waffen-SS soldier on the cover. All other issues deal about Heer, Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine. The obvious goal of these publications, initiated by Reich Youth Leader Baldur von Schirach, was to create a bond between the youth at home and the heroes at the front lines and which boy, after reading these publications, would have not dreamed to also become such a hero and join the ‘unbeatable’ German military. Here is the unique opportunity to acquire ALL 156 issues that were published and for public sale, all complete and in very good condition. It must have taken years to assemble the complete series, and it would take years trying to do that today.
