INTERESTING ORIGINAL 1941 PHOTO BOOK ON THE FEMALE REICH LABOR SERVICE

‘WIR ARBEITSMAIDEN IN HESSEN’

The 8-1/2 x 10 inch, 96-page hardcover book was published in 1941 by Erich Klinghammer Verlag in Berlin as a remembrance for the young women who fulfilled their mandatory labor service in the Hessen region of Hitler-Germany. It is a very interesting photo documentation of the mandatory labor service that every BDM girl had to fulfill. It was called ‘Landjahr‘ or also ‘Pflichtjahr‘ and the young women mostly helped out on German farms. A few spots on the cover, otherwise nice condition.
