Up for auction is this lot of some of the last issues of the 10-1/2 x 14 inch “Wiener Illustrierte’, a heavily illustrated weekly newspaper that was published in Vienna. Professionally bound (postwar) are the issues from 7 September 1944 to 15 February 1945, shortly before the collapse of the Third Reich. Each issue is full of Nazi propaganda, claiming that the final victory is imminent and how the German armed forces make the enemy suffer. Very interesting late war propaganda material that rarely surfaces, and in excellent condition.
