RARE ORIGINAL 1933 PHOTO BOOK ABOUT HITLER’S DEPUTY
RUDOLF HESS
FROM THE ESTATE OF EAST BERLIN’S FIRST MAYOR!
The 7 x 9-1/2-inch, very well illustrated 48-page soft cover book was published in 1933 by Zeitgeschichte Verlag in Berlin. The book is about the life and career of Adolf Hitler’s deputy who spent time with him in Landsberg Prison where he helped him with his book ‘Mein Kampf’. This copy was once owned by a Reinhold Schwarz from Danzig (East Prussia, today Poland) who wrote his name on the title page. Reinhold Schwarz was a convinced Nazi until 1945 who became East Berlin’s first mayor who kept his Nazi past from the occupying Russians and secretly moved his cherished Third Reich book collection to East Berlin. Our contact was able to purchase several titles, including this one, from his estate after he died.
