HIRT'S BERLINER FIBEL

THE EXTREMELY "PATRIOTIC" READING BOOK FOR 2nd OR 3rd GRADERS IS FULL OF SWASTIKAS, HITLER YOUTH AND BDM UNIFORMS, NAZI FLAGS AND MORE!

The hard to find 6-3/4 x 9-3/8 inch, 104 pages hardcover book by Ferdinand Hirt was published 1939 in Breslau, Königsplatz 1. The book is printed in both Fraktur and Sütterlin. Sütterlin, a script created by the Berlin graphic artist Ludwig Sütterlin (1865-1917) was taught from 1915 to 1941 in German schools. It is also called the "the German handwriting". Offered here is a very nice copy of the second edition (2. Auflage).

The very interesting and heavily illustrated reading book with many Third Reich related full color pictures contains the following: Berlin sightseeings, Hitler Youth, Bund Deutscher Mädel, SA, cars, animals, swastikas, playing children, all-day situations, ABC in small steps, short stories, Eintopfsonntag, christmas etc.

The many very propagandistic pictures make it an important addition to every collection of historical Third Reich material!
