ORIGINAL 1938 PHOTO BOOK ON THE FIRST YEAR OF THE NSFK

This 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 inch, 48 page soft cover book in very good condition was published in 1938 by order of the Korpsführer of the NSFK in Berlin. The NS-Fliegerkorps was the stepping stone for pilots in the Nazi German Luftwaffe. Many future bomber or fighter pilots were former Hitler Youth boys who started their aviation career by making plane models, competing in model aviation competitions, then went on to learn to fly sailplanes / gliders before entering the Luftwaffe pilot schools. The heavily illustrated book contains a ton of pictures and information about the work of the NSFK in its first year of existence. A very interesting book in great condition.
