Hitler, Adolf. Mein Kampf. Zentralvarlag der NSDAP. Eher Verlag: Munich, 1940. The Tornisterausgabe (Backpack edition) that has been converted to a wedding edition! The backpack edition was an unabridged version of Mein Kampf, printed on thinner paper and smaller in size than the standard People’s edition so that the soldier could carry it with him on the front lines (who knows how many or how few actually had the time or interest to read this book while in combat). The wedding edition was a special edition that was never for sale but given to newly weds on the day of their wedding and some of them had the crest of the town on the cover where it was issued to newly wed couples. This book here combines both versions in one book: it is a backpack edition but bearing the crest of a German town and a dedication to a newly wed couple! In all our years of buying, selling and viewing various editions of Mein Kampf, this is only the second example of this edition we have ever seen. A truly scarce addition to anyone’s collection of rare Mein Kampf editions.
