Very early letter from Rudolf Hess to a Major regarding a meeting in Weimar with the Gauführer and members of the Reich leadership. The letter is written on Hitler’s early official stationery, printed “Adolf Hitler Kanzlei: München 2 Schellingstr.50”. The letter is dated Munich November 22, 1927 and signed with a very nice pencil signature “R.Heß” in his early style signature. From 1925 to 1931, Schellingstr 50 was the headquarters of the party and was also where Hitler first met Eva Braun in 1929. She worked in a Munich camera shop in this same building which was owned by Hitler’s private photographer, Heinrich Hoffmann. Today this building is privately owned and is housing for college students. The German eagle from the early days of the party still remains above the main entrance of the building (see circled in yellow on the picture on the bottom left). ON HOLD
