‘UNTERM EDELWEISS IN DER UKRAINE’
This seldom seen 7 x 9-1/4 inch, 78-page soft cover book by Oberstleutnant Gehrig was published in 1943 by Zentralverlag der NSDAP in München. It deals about the battles of the Nazi German Alpenkorps, the mountain troops that had the Edelweiss flower as their logo on their uniforms, against the Russian Red Army in the Ukraine. The book has illustrations in the text. It probably was published only in a small number of copies and rarely a copy surfaces for sale. The book shows signs of wear, but the binding is tight, and no pages are missing.
