EXTREMELY RARE 1942 LETTER TO GESTAPO MUELLER SIGNED BY THE MAN IN CHARGE TO ORGANIZE THE DEPORTATION OF THE EUROPEAN JEWS TO THE EAST
SS-OBERSTURMBANNFÜHRER ADOLF EICHMANN
THE LETTER ALSO NAMES HEYDRICH AND WAS SENT 3 MONTHS AFTER THE ‘WANNSEE CONFERENCE’
Offered for sale is this Adolf Eichmann signed letter to the Chief of the Gestapo Heinrich Müller. The letter also mentions Reinhard Heydrich, making it an extremely rare document that names three of the nastiest men to ever walk the planet. The letter is dated 10 April 1942 and just a few months after the Wannsee Conference (which took place on January 20, 1942) which Eichmann, Müller, and Heydrich all attended. All throughout 1942-43 Eichmann would have been traveling to Slovakia, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Croatia – tasked with organizing the deportation of the Jews in those countries. This letter falls within this time frame and translates to: “Following your order, I left the original copy of the activity report on the Jewish headquarters established by the Slovak government to Heydrich. The report was drawn up with the help of the advisor for Jewish affairs at the German embassy in Pressberg, SS Obersturmführer Wisliceny, as there were many details and pertinent notes as well as information for this SD employee. I am at your disposal for further information on the subject at any time.” (We also have a 1941 document signed by Wisliceny for sale on this website, please look for item #C-716). Eichmann’s signature is nearly impossible to find. This document, being on Eichmann’s personal letterhead is considered exceptionally rare. Eichmann was one of the major organizers of the Holocaust. He was tasked by Reinhard Heydrich with facilitating and managing the mass deportation of Jews to ghettos and extermination camps in Eastern Europe during World War II. Eichmann was captured by the Mossad in Argentina in 1960 and was executed by hanging in 1962.
