Offered for sale is this rare original 1944 document, written, signed and sent by (at the time) SS-Oberführer Otto Kumm to a Hitler Youth boy of the name Karl-Heinz. He tells him about the honor to fight alongside battle hardened men in the Waffen-SS and urges him to sign up for volunteer service, so that he too will proudly wear the belt buckle with the SS motto 'Meine Ehre heisst Treue' (My Honor Is Loyalty). The letter was sent to Karl-Heinz with a signed picture of Kumm, which got lost over time. SS-Brigadeführer and Generalmajor of the Waffen-SS Otto Kumm was recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords and the last commander of the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler in early 1945, after Mohnke was wounded.
