(PIMPF NOW IT COUNTS - THE EXPERIENCE OF THE JUNGBANN CHALLENGES)

A VERY INTERESTING DOCUMENTATION OF THE FOUR DAYS LONG PARAMILITARY NATIONWIDE FIELD EXERCISE AND COMPETITION OF THE JUNGENSCHAFT, JUNGZUG, JUNGVOLK !

The 5 x 7-1/2 inch, 140 page hardcover book by Reinhold Sautter was pub-lished by Loewes Verlag Ferdinand Carl in Stuttgart, Germany. The very interesting book describes the so called Jungbannfehden, the annual para-military field exercise of an entire age-group of Pimpfe, the youngest in the Hitler Youth. Jungenschaften of the entire Reich competed against each other with "battles" and acts of courage. The Pimpfe were "stationed" in a foreign town for four days and experienced Army-like conditions in that time. The Jungbannfehden were intended to harden the boys, to melt their groups into well functioning units and to lay the seed what a great and exciting future they will have later in the Wehrmacht or SS once they are old enough to enlist.
