VERY RARE ORIGINAL THIRD REICH ERA TRAY FROM THE

ZEPPELIN AIR SHIP 'LZ -129 HINDENBURG'

FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE FOR AUTHENTICITY

This rare tray is 250 x 180mm or 9-7/8 x 7-1/8 inches. It has a nice patina, no dents. Engraved in the center is the logo of the 'Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei', consisting of an eagle atop the globe, with a Zeppelin in front and a swastika underneath and engraved under that 'Olympiafahrt 1.8.1936'. LZ-129 went from Frankfurt to Berlin that day, the opening day of the 1936 Olympic Games in Hitler's Berlin and flew over the sold out Olympic Stadium. We don't know if this tray actually flew on LZ-129 that day or if the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei GmbH ad a couple of these engraved and sold the to those who bought a ticket for that special flight. Either way, there can have been only few to begin with and this is the only one we have ever seen. These airships were the giants of the sky and LZ 129 Hindenburg - where this artifact comes from, was the largest air vessel at the time, until it wnt up in flames in Lakehurst, New Jersey on May 6, 1937. That accident also meant the end of the air ship era. Before, it was the fastest and most comfortable way to cross the Atlantic in its day. A seldom seen item, offered with full money back guarantee for authenticity.
