WONDERFUL 1941/42 BOUND SET OF THE MONTHLY THIRD REICH ART PERIODICAL

Velhagen und Klasings

Monatshefte

AN ART PUBLICATION OF OUTSTANDING QUALITY! 700+ PAGES WITH HUNDREDS OF PICTURES, PROFESSIONALLY BOUND, EXCELLENT CONDITION!

Offered here is a bound set of this sought after 7 x 10 inch Third Reich art periodical, published between September 1941 and August 1942 in very good condition. The Monatshefte were first published in 1885, the last issue was published in 1952.

Each month, there were reviews, retrospectives and represen-tative reproductions of works by a multitude of old and new Ger-man as well as foreign artists. Most of the works shown were drawings, paintings, etchings, prints, etc., sculptures and other art forms were also presented. Each issue was heavily illustrated and contained a lot of full color as well as black and white pictures. The 1941/42 Third Reich issues that are offered here also con-tain a lot of patriotically inspired articles and extremely artful illustrations of Third Reich flags and uniforms as well as German Third Reich war equipment!

Virtually all of the works published in the 'Monatshefte' was of excellent quality and this publication inclined more towards the academically accepted schools, rather than towards commercially influenced art. A valuable addition to every collection of Third Reich art history!
