RARE ORIGINAL 1930 BOOK BY ANTI-NAZI EDGARD JULIUS JUNG

DIE HERRSCHAFT DER MINDERWERTIGEN

(THE REIGN OF THE INFERIOR)

THE AUTHOR WROTE SPEECHES FOR VICE CHANCELLOR VON PAPEN AND WAS EXECUTED BY THE NAZIS IN 1934

The 7 x 9-3/4 inch, 670-pages hardcover book, subtitled "Ihr Zerfall und die Abloesung durch ein Neues Reich" (Their Decay and their replacement by a New Reich) was written by Edgar Julius Jung and published 1930 by Verlag Deutsche Rundschau in Berlin, Germany. Offered here is a very nice copy of the third edition (11. - 15. Thousand). The book did not get the approval by the Nazi authorities to be appropiate reading material for the fellow German Volksgenosse and was no longer for sale since 1934 and copies that were published earlier that were found by the Third Reich Police or other authorities were destroyed. Therefor only few copies survived!

The book is a summary of the negative characteristics of democracy, the parliament and liberal politicians. The author was in opposition of the Nazis and after the National Socialist seizure of power in 1933 he only spent one year writing speeches for Vice Chancellor Franz von Papen before he fell in disgrace because he wrote Papens well known "Marburger Speech" in 1934. The Gestapo arrested him and he was executed in June 1934.
