EHESACHE PARMA / PARMA

THE 1 YEAR LONG DIVORCE BATTLE OF A MAN WHO ACCUSED HIS WIFE TO HAVE BETRAYED HIM WITH TWO OTHER GUYS!

This very interesting document is a great example of German bureaucracy. In 1943 Paul Parma filed for divorce because he thought he had evidence that his wife, Marianne Parma, was messing with two other men behind his back. The case was brought to court in February 1943 and it took until July 1944 (!) until Paul and Marianne got officially divorced! One would think that there must have been a lot of more important things to handle in a German court in Mid-1944!

Surprising that the German courts still had time for divorce battles such as the one that is documented in this big file in the early fall of 1944, only eight months before the Third Reich came to end end!
