ABOUT A JEW WHO OWED A NON-JEWISH GERMAN MONEY, GOT DEPORTED TO THE GENERALGOUVERNEMENT AND KILLED ON AN ESCAPE ATTEMPT WHILE IN A FORCED LABOR CAMP

Offered for sale is a very interesting original documents grouping, including one document that is signed by Adolf Eichmann and another one that is signed by Hans Bothmann, who was commandant of Chelmno concentration/extermination camp. The documents are about the following case: a Jew named Artur Israel Pollak supposedly owed money to a non-Jewish German, Adolf Martin. Martin's lawyer was unable to find Pollak (see doc #3 in the grouping, sent by Martin's lawyer to Martin). Martin then contacted the SD and it became clear that the Jew Pollak had been deported to the Generalgouvernement, the German occupied part of Poland. But Adolf Martin still did not get the money Pollak owed him because Pollak (inmate #224-33) was shot and killed while trying to escape from the forced labor assignment near the Kulmhof concentration camp. Document #2 was written by the Gestapo headquarters in Posen and sent to Eichmann's office in Berlin in response to EIchmann's inquiry. This document bears the original ink signatures of a secretary of the Chief of Police and SD in Posen as well as the signature of SS-Hauptsturmfuehrer Hans Bothmann (witness) who was commandant of Chelmno concentration camp. Each document comes with an English translation and the entire grouping comes with a full money back guarantee for authenticity.

Original letter and English translation of the response to Eichmann's request, sent on 1 September 1942 by the Chief of Police and SD in Posen.
